Cultural AI — Consent-First Personal Context & Workflows
Cultural AI is an opt-in product capability built for the Hovis Local AI Workbench. It helps tailor resumes, local hobby and project boards, and reusable workflows around preferences you explicitly confirm—without silent memory scraping.
1. Opt-In Conversational Questions & Two-Step Confirmation
- Hovis asks optional, skippable questions over time about communication style, favorite media/places, hobbies, verified career skills, and workflow conventions.
- A conversational mention alone never writes profile memory. Every fact is shown in an explicit preview and saved only after owner confirmation.
- Every stored fact tracks provenance, confirmation date, and staleness/expiration, with per-item edit, pause, export, logical deletion, and physical purge controls.
2. Per-Task Personalization Preview & Truthful Workflows
- Before any task runs, Hovis previews the exact profile facts proposed for that task, with category toggles, one-task-only ephemeral facts, or full opt-out.
- Truthful Career Drafts: Uses only confirmed career facts to draft resumes and cover letters. Hovis never invents job titles, dates, degrees, or skills, and never auto-submits applications.
- Local Kanban Boards & Recipes: Organize hobby and project cards locally (no cloud sync), and save reusable workflow recipes that never inherit credentials, grants, or file contents.
3. Separate, Opt-In Local Ancestry Viewer (Synthetic Demonstration)
The Local Ancestry Viewer is an optional, isolated local module—completely separate from general Cultural AI memory, chat history, and the public website. It accepts only user-selected provider export files locally, never asks for 23andMe credentials, and never uploads genetic files to Hovis.ai.
Hovis is an independent software project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to 23andMe, Inc. or the Hovis food brand.
